Morning Star Apartments

Ronan, MT

Morning Star Apartments are the Flathead Reservation’s first permanent supportive housing. It’s a collaboration between the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, the Salish and Kootenai Housing Authority and the Tribal Defenders Office.

Morning Star was able to utilize CARES Act funding from the Housing Authority in response to COVID and CSKT homelessness.

The Morning Star Apartments have 14 livable units, an office for the services coordinator, and a caretaker’s unit. Unlike temporary housing, residents will not be time-limited or transitional.

Services are on site and referral processes are in place for off-site health, behavioral health, employment, and other services the Tribe provides.
